After graduating from high school in New Hampshire, USA, Patricia returned to Argentina where she earned my medical degree. Following a year of general surgery residency, she discovered her true calling in aesthetic medicine and went on to complete four postgraduate programs in the field. With over 15 years of experience, she found her passion not only in practicing aesthetic medicine but also in teaching and learning—especially when it comes to managing complications.
Patricia’s journey with complications took a pivotal turn when she joined CMAC and attended her first CMAC conference. That experience reinforced a core belief of hers: we should never perform a procedure without fully understanding the potential complications and how to manage them. Learning as we go is inevitable, but preparation is critical.
Early on, Patricia integrated ultrasound (US) into her practice, even going so far as to purchase a device from abroad when handheld options weren’t yet available in her country. She initially used ultrasound to manage complications, and for her, there was no turning back. Today, she uses ultrasound for a variety of purposes in her practice—she honestly can’t imagine working without it.
In addition to her academic roles, Patricia teach courses on complications and cadaver dissection. She’s presented at both national and international conferences—focusing mainly on complications, from real cases to prevention strategies. She had the honor of presenting on ultrasound at AIUM 2023, Texas.
As Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Patricia lives by this philosophy every day in her practice and teaching.
